SWEET ARCHITECTURE
WORKSHOP FOR CHILDREN & "HATWALK"
Sunday September 19th, at 12 AM
venue: HEL YES!, Londonewcastel Depot, 1-3- Wenlock Road, London N1 7SL (tube Angel and Old Street)
The Sweet Architecture -workshop is for all children from the age of 5.
25 participants, register at www.arkki.net/sweetarchitecture
In the sweet architecture workshop children can build their own fantasy tower using candy and cocktail sticks as building materials.
The structures of Sweet Architecture are based on space geometry; the sticks work as structural elements and the sweets as joints. In the workshop the towers will be built on a platform as buildings are built on ground. The platform has a hole in the middle to fit ones head. The building or structure will be fastened to the platform and there you are; a sweet piece of architecture which is also a hat that you can wear! In this workshop the idea is to provide knowledge about structures and architecture in a fun way.
The process of creating Sweet Architecture is fun and sweet - you can actually taste the flavor of architecture. In the end of the workshop everyone gets a chance to show off his / her hat at the stage in Hatwalk.
